i love that movie too!!!
restoring something so beautiful sounds awesome...
i think i would find it overwhelming at first though. i like the idea that i'm learning to do some diy stuff on a smaller scale in my studio apartment. i got most of my ideas on AT - i find this site very encouraging and innovative. plus so many people are willing to provide feedback however positive or negative they may come across. one day i will be ambitious and restore a home of my own. living in a rental, i'm learning alot about taking care of my own stuff...AND rather than make any permanent changes to this studio i rent, i am learning to diy permanent but not huge things i know i can take with me. any changes i make to this home i live in now will only cosmetic, temporary and easy to change back to the way the landlord wants it. either way, i'll be able to take this experience with me to the next location....hopefully someplace as beautiful as the house in this picture.

I have beenr renovating my "old house" for 1 1/2 years and I wish I had listened to that phrase. It would have made my project alot more comfortable. Hindsight is 20/20

Great Movie. Good timing it was on TV last night. I am planning on doing reno to the house my partner and I have just bought and moved into. Mostly opening up the living area, painting and adding new moulding and skirting boards. I am so excited about it. :D
