We're always on the look out for a store that a) carries the things we use and b) carries stuff we didn't even know about yet, but are glad to be introduced to:
Store: The Green Life
Los Angeles
The Green Life in Santa Monica (on main street just down from Urth Cafe) is just that. They carry all of the Mrs Meyers Products that normally need to be ordered online (or that have to patiently wait for a trip to Whole Foods) and a whole slew of other green cleaning products, home accessories, some clothes and 'lifestyle' products. The best part, other than the convenience of a place that's accessible to us west-siders is that everything in the shop would be cool and covetable whether it was green or not. Because let's admit it, the Green Craze can feel a little overwhelming at times, so we like to be thoughtful about any purchase we make.

I was just there Sunday, it's a great store! They have something for everyone. I got a planter which was made from rice husks and a great bar of soap which has plant seeds embedded in the cardboard package, so I planted the container yesterday. Oh and I got some Mrs. Meyers pet wipes, which I've always had to order online before. The website address is thegreenlifeco.com for hours, and it looks like they are working on a new site with all their product info.

I live outside Atlanta and two Ace Hardwares near me carry a nice selection of Mrs. Meyers products.

I have been there as well! I discovered them the opening weekend by chance! Some products (mostly the cleaning supplies like Ecover, Seventh Generation) you can find elsewhere, but I'd rather support a small business that focuses on being green than a large chain that maybe does not.
Anyways- cool stuff and definitely a place to visit if you are environmentally conscious or not. I look forward to a wider selection / color choice for glassware and gift items like vases or picture frames, but their books, diffusers and pet items all rock!
Super nice owner too which is always a plus!

FYI, They also carry Mrs. Meyers at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Cost Plusâthe latter sells it at a nice discount!
