As Abby mentioned, we hit up the Ecologique Book Signing last night and got a first hand look at the Eco-Cottages. One bedroom had us swooning mainly because of the great fabric from mod green pod, an eco friendly line of modern prints. Jump below to find our other favorite eco -friendly fabric lines and resources:

Since we've been thinking about our fabric collection and weighing whether or not to buy pillows or make em, we thought we'd finally gather up all the resources we've bookmarked over the last year for great fabric without the pesticides and toxins:
•Mod Green Pod Fabrics are 100% organic cotton, harvested and milled without the use of harmful chemicals, and hand silk-screened with water-based, non-toxic inks. The printed fabrics are finished by a safe mechanical process, using pressure and heat in lieu of chemicals. Pictured above are Butterfly Jubilee and Grand Jubilee in Stilton.
• O Eco Textiles have great classic linen and hemp blends, all organic, all super luxurious.
• Twill Textiles makes a palette of warm, nature inspired fabrics that are a part of the Climatex® Lifecycle™ Home Collection, sustainable eco-friendly fabrics designed specifically for the home.
• Harmony Art started in California by a woman named Harmony, they're committed to certified organic fabrics and can be bought through near sea naturals.
• The Green Sage Store has a nice selection of natural hemp prints good for window and pillow coverings.
• Live Textiles was founded in 2007 by a group of women with backgrounds in Design and Biology. They're committed to creating fabrics that are good for you and the environment. Also, they're really pretty designs.
• Fabrics were started by Designer Michelle Adams (who used to work at Domino) has an eye for classic but modern designs that are all totally sustainable.
• Hable Construction has teamed up with Belladonna to create these eco-friendly outdoor fabrics. We've coveted their fabric covered journals and totes for a long time, wouldn't mind having a patio chair with some of this fabric for a cushion.
Have we missed any? Where do you go?

A couple other great options are
NearSea Naturals (organic cottons, wools, silks, and hemp)
and
Les Indiennes (sun bleached cotton, hand block printed with natural dyes)

One source I'd throw into the mix is Etsy! I recently picked up some beautiful vintage print fabric there for my kitchen curtains. It was about ten dollars for a couple of yards and green by definition!
