Birds on a Wire Clothespins

042408_birds.jpgWe all know that forgoing the dryer can save a ton of energy and that we really ought to hang the laundry outside to dry. Here's a way to make it a little bit more fun.

Hang some of these Bird Clothespins on the laundry line and make the neighbors smile. Available in sets of 25 through UK retailers Bodie and Fou.

Can you think of some other uses for these birdies? We liked what these people did with them for their wedding:

I have these birds myself, like you said, brings a smile everytime. My mother inlaw is so jealous of them, so I bought her a pack back in Sweden, that she will get on her birthday. I had plan to use that pack as note pins on a notice board with stings, so I will buy a new pack to keep myself next time I go to Sweden. I also use one bird as a bookmark.

Does anyone have a source for an inexpensive and asthetically acceptable clothesline kit? I want to start to line dry but also don't want to create an eyesore for my neighbors.
