Good news! The LA Bureau of Sanitation has expanded their approved listing of recyclable materials you can put inside your trusty blue bin each week. All clean plastics from types 1-7, plastic grocery and dry cleaning bags, and even Styrofoam can now be set aside for recycling instead of thrown away. This is welcome news, since we were only putting in #1 and #2 marked plastics before. Just be sure not to throw in construction materials, appliances, hoses or lawn furniture into those bins (call for bulky item pickup).
