Outdoor Solar Shoji Lanterns

ATLA031908-SHOJISOLAR.jpgWe have a communal outdoor section between our two apartment buildings we've always dreamt of stringing lights across for summer al fresco entertaining. These Sun-Powered Shoji Lanterns might be exactly what we've been looking for...

Made of nylon instead of rice paper, these lanterns can withstand the elements for outdoor use. The 10" lanterns are powered by the sun during the daytime and can turn on/off automatically for 6-8 hours of use with two LED bulbs illuminating within. We've had mixed results with solar powered lights before (our Target brand spotlight was awesome...until it stopped working), but considering the modest price, these might be worth taking a chance upon if they can help us transform our blah outdoor area into something more inviting (and illuminated).
