Roped In: Gisele Lounge Chair

We don't usually pop into DWR for fear that the sweet, sweet sounds of Saarinen will magically swipe our credit cards to the limit, but when we saw the Gisele Lounge chair, we had to try it out. Designed by Aristeu Pires with the help of his newspaper, this chair is handcrafted in Brazil using sustainable hardwood and wrapped with natural cotton rope.

And while we were skeptical on the comfort level (do you think the ropes will stretch and sag over time?), we were surprised how sturdy the chair felt when we plopped down. (And yes, it's very well-ventilated). This chair typically retails for $950, but right now DWR is touting its semi-annual sale of...10%.
