Simple Green: Non Toxic Bathroom Cleaners

atla0401008method_lil.jpgMost of the time we go the elbow grease route when it comes to getting the ring around the tub off, and we've followed flylady's advice and used shampoo in the toilet, but sometimes the bathroom needs something with more gusto. Instead of reaching for a harsh cleanser or bleach, try something a little gentler on the earth but no less powerful in the bathroom:

We've been intrigued ever since Gregory blogged about Method's Le Scrub and Li'l Bowl Blu. Le Scrub gets its abrasive character from finely milled marble Lil' Bowl Blu is a non-toxic toilet bowl cleaner. And they both have a eucalyptus mint scent, so you know the bathroom will smell like a spa by the time you're done. So when the tang and vinegar aren't doing the trick, you know you have another alternative.

The toilet cleaner is the best. And smells super fresh.

I used this at my dad's house on his very dirty tub (oops, you're not supposed to tell people about other people's dirty bathrooms are you! ;D) and it worked wonders. :D

I used the scrub and didn't think it worked very well. If you have an already clean tub and tile it seems to work okay, but my old, smallish apartment came with a very dirty tub and tile and it did absolutely nothing but make it smell better.

I just bought LeScrub and it works great on soap scum and bathtub rings. I was dangerously close to buying a bottle of the old reliable Scrubbing Bubbles, but I think Le Scrub works just as well.

I use an abrasive sponge as well...I'm not sure just using a sponge or washcloth would work.

i just picked up le scrub the other day and was wondering what that little notch on top was for! i'm a huge fan of method products. . .the tub and tile cleaning wipes are a staple in our home.

I bought this from Target recently. It works SO well. My tub hasn't been that shiny in too long (should I share that?). Love Method.
