Costco's Seville Ultra Slimline Fan Combo

090407_seville.jpgRawr! Who's ready for fall? We are! With this heatwave blasting through and leaving some of us sans electricity, we are so ready for cooler temperatures. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is predicting the heat to stay at a steady mid-90s. So, to add a little bit of comfort to our homes and to give our air conditioners a bit of a rest, we picked up this Seville Ultra Slimline Fan Combo with remote control from the ultimate in warehouse shopping: Costco!

This combo set comes with 2 fans in different sizes (a 40" tower and a 12" personal) plus a handy remote control for the bigger fan. We were pleasantly surprised on how effective and quiet these fans were...and even more pleased with the price: $59.99

Available at Costco.

oh, i so needed those this weekend. there's only so much doing my best billie holiday imitation (silk slip, bourbon on ice, flower in the ear, jazz on the ipod, sitting in front of the fan, head lolling) a person can do before they resort to banging on the doors of their friends with air conditioning and demanding to be let in before their brains implode...(hmm, although, come to think of it, maybe that is also a key part of the billie holiday imitation...)

the heat has gone to my brain. i am so ready for fall.

I have this set from last year... Just to keep in mind, that they are not the quietest fans out there. Nor the most stylish. But they get the job done. The remote is definitely very helpful -- but the remote only controls the large unit, not the small one.
