Cardboard Pop-up Christmas Trees

Simeon_van_Tellingen_03.jpg

I suppose the majority of time it's fun to decorate a tree, but part of me wishes I could just have the tree up and ready with a little more efficiency. I guess Simeon van Tellingen had the same idea when he created this colourful cardboard pop-up Christmas trees, fully equipped with built-in illumination, baubles, balls and garlands. They're even designed to click together in a threesome to create one large round tree. Pine smell not included.

This idea makes me both very impressed and kinda sad. There's a lot of potential there in terms of design, but you end up losing the personalized, always-unique feel of decorating the tree anew each year.

They have already taken Christ out of Christmas replacing it with Xmas and Happy Holidays, can we at least have a real tree for crying out loud.

i'm not all up into jesus and i'm not all up into xmas either... but to keep people from calling me a godless grinch, I would buy the pop up tree as a quick and painless way to decorate for next christmas.
