I think it's really cool! Dramatic, yet whimsical. But for $19,000, I'd rather make it myself.

Looks like Marcel Wanders, this would be killer in the right space. Hot.

Reminds me of furniture that you would find in The Sims video games - playful, perhaps somewhat tacky, but still appealing.

Oh Good God, NO. NoNoNoNoNo.

I can see something of this order in multi-colored balls (heh) on a much smaller scale in maybe a kid's room, but otherwise...not so much.

People who like this, do you just really 'LIKE like' this, or would you actually put this in your house and sleep in it? I'm serious, and curious. What other furniture would actually go with something like this?

Heh. I think it's kind of hilarious. I'd prefer it on a smaller scale myself- but this does have a "Betty Rubble Rock Necklace" quality to it.

I like it in theory (as in, in an editorial shoot) but in practice it would feel too "candyland" for me

I third the anal beads sentiment.

it is wrong that it's growing on me? not for my own place now of course, i'm too sane and too poor at the moment....

but if i ever get thrown into the loony bin for the rich, I'd want to do it in style, and drag this bed into the room with me. Straitjacket and flamingo hot pink throw-blankets meant to go together. and don't get me started on those darling swirly pillow shams.

and when those posts aren't busy being quiet lewd distractions, I shall have them speak to me in judgmental voices. It would be very Labyrinthine. (not in the strict sense of the word labyrinth, but more like Jim Hensen's 1986 movie Labyrinth.)

yes...bring me my meds please nurse ratched!

I think anyone who says "anal beads" in a comment on this site should receive some kind of AT Giveaway.

I had the anal beads thought too. Oh my. Could work for an adult movie decor, otherwise, no thanks.

Gosh, what an awful piece of furniture.

What about those pop beads from the 50's or 60's? Does anybody else think of those? Now I really feel like an old granny.

I can see the room that this would go in - I just don't own that room. (There's a lot of furniture like that - I like it, I just don't own the space it belongs in, nor do I have the wherewithal to buy or rent that space any time soon). So, no, I wouldn't put it in my house, it would fight with the size and structure of the house. But if I had the right space, yes, I'd put it there.

liddybird, lol. I agree. However perhaps depending on the decor, it may work. I see it in a Moroccan inspired room, if anything.

I'm sure we'll see a magazine shoot with this bed. Probably some fabulous, eccentric Paris apartment with edgy contemporary art. But not my house.

I probably wouldn't want it and definitely wouldn't pay that much for any bed.....but it's a cool design for the right room.

Would that porn decor was so stylish.

The proportions are strange. I don't mind the shapes so much, but the SIZES of the balls are just not attractive for the scale of the furniture. Also the black color makes me think of stacks of canon balls, about to topple.

If somebody gave this to me (HA!) I'd paint it in a bright color blend with every ball patterned differently -- then, having vented my "creative" impulse, I'd give it away again!

;^)
