Any idea if the arms are attached? It's a really versatile item. Okay, we see it as a giant sofa. But if it all comes in pieces, what fun in arranging and rearranging the pieces!
Those arms on the end? I just saw on some Italian site, arms sort of like those, and they were used to hold books! BOOKS! The books will stack neatly on their sides in the top V shape, as well as holding smaller books in the left and right V shapes, and magazines stack nicely flat on the bottom.
Alone, the arms would make for a pair of interesting tables, with a bottom-heavy vase or planter between them, and some giant plant. They look pretty level to me in the pictures. Maybe just using them for books and leaving the top unadorned would be a nice texture.
The individual 4 chair portions, you can have two loveseats, a loveseat with a chair on either side, four chairs around a round table, etc.
If they're rattan, and fabric/pillows, they aren't going to be heavy to move around, like some furniture. So you CAN change your room arrangement to reflect what you're going to do tonight.
Dance party? Push the whole thing into a sofa near the wall.
Conversation? With couples, loveseats, with individuals needing their own personal space, chairs. And if you end up disliking your significant other, move your chair away.
They're fairly low, but there are a lot of lower coffee/dining table type items, that may allow the chairs to be used for an impromptu meal.
Depending on the size of the cushions, there might be ready-made cushion covers available to change the appearance in a jiffy.
Over at Surefit, they have separate seat cushion covers, which might work (I have no idea what size the above cushions are): http://tinyurl.com/nplwh
Lots of colors to play with your new sectional. I like the SKY in the Performance Twill, because I like blue. But, there is a great red, black, beiges, browns, patterns, tweeds. It's kind of confusing, because some are separate seats that come with the cover for the sofa, and some are JUST the seat cushion covers.
JUST the seat covers are for sure in the Sunset stripe and Cabana stripe. They are 23"x23"
And, yup, you COULD paint the whole thing too. Some kind of streamlined deco influence in black/silver? Black with pink, girly look. All-black.
I love things that can be different and adapt to many situations. It's the same set-up, but it sure could serve many purposes over the years, changing as needed to fulfill the current needs.
So, I say, that's HOT!
