Ah baseball season. We grew up in a Yankee family, an ex is a rabid Mets fan and we live in LA, home of the Dodgers, so this time of year it’s all baseball all the time. So, we couldn’t help but get a little nostalgic when we stumbled upon this reissue of Joe, the Heller baseball glove sofa. This classic was designed in 1970 by Studio de Pas, D'Urbino, Lomazzi, notorious for their witty and unconventional architecture and products, which often bridge the gap between design and art. So fans, whaddaya think? Hot or Not? Survey after the jump.

My childhood library had something like this, so it brings back a huge wave of nostalgia, but still. "Nostalgic" is different than "hot."

Steeeeeeee-rike! I love watching baseball but I'd gouge my eyes out on Opening Day if I had to come home to that thing.

That looks like the perfect couch for a clean and modern sports bar.

It is a chilling reminder that I lost my hand in a freak seal accident.

Way too tacky/gimmicky for my taste.

Did any cows have to die for that?

A quick Google says it was originally leather but has been reissued in a polymer. It would be very hard to make this cool in your house, even if it was the only thing in the room. Unlike the Lips Sofa http://www.abcgallery.com/D/dali/dali44.html

I voted hot - I wouldn't want it in my home, but I am glad that it exists because I like furniture with a sense of humour.

It could come in handy if a giant meteor is hurling out of the sky towards your back yard.

I could see that in a kid's bedroom, but it would probably only appeal to them for a few years.

I voted HOT, because the first one looks like it's made of chocolate.

I'll echo the comment about the voting - it should be before the jump. I think AT is doing this to get more page hits though. Just look at the change to the smallest coolest contest. The five pictures used to be on the same page as the apartment entry. Now they're in a separate gallery, and each photo has an individual page with an ad.
