It's not fanciful, it's tacky. It looks like somebody from a 3rd world country went to the dollar store to "dress up" their clothesline.

I saw this somewhere else awhile back, and I thought it was a great idea for using in a laundry room.
I hang a lot of clothes on hangers to dry, and I normally use clothespins to keep them from shimmying toward the middle, as they inevitably do. The beads are a much more streamlined idea for keeping hangers in place.
Plus I like how this looks. I would just hang it a little more taut.
Side note: Is it good or bad that I always feel that I'm in the minority around here? :-)

Aw come on. Too fanciful!? Naw, I think this is really cute. I would have loved this idea in my last closetless apartment.

@thirtyeight20 You're probably not in the only one. A lot of folks might just be too shy to comment. :-)

God. This is almost as idiotic as the "My hubby will let me put a gigantic faux sheep in the corner, but I can only spend three grand..." I'm sorry, but this is just the dumbest thing I have seen on here since...well...the fucking faux sheep. C'mon, Apartment Therapy, WTF? April Fools has long since passed...

Fine for a conceptual retail space, but other than that it's rather impractical in a home setting.
