Speaking from the depths of an Australian summer, where fans are pretty much a neccesity? If you have to use one, you'd want one to look as cool as this! I like it!

I don't like the blue blades on the pink fan, but these are pretty neat. I don't have a floor fan, I think I would like these if they're well made. Unable to find a price! You forgot the weird feature is that the on/off switch is the braided belt (weird) which causes the off position to droop the head of the fand down. I just sort of like the grill and the thin base, it's a lot niftier than the unsightly hulking plastic fan you buy at Wal-mart. If you're not an idiot who sticks their hand in the way of the fan blades, no problemo, right?

I like it when fans look vintage... and mildly dangerous, because there's so much sharp metal involved.

I love the look of it too... but have a cat who would be fascinated and tempted by the moving blades, and there's definitely room for a swatting paw to get in -- not to mention a child's hand. Too dangerous.

that looks like a liability to me...
