Quetza is a bookshelf that roughly resembles the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl who was shaped after a feathered snake. The piece can be leaned against a wall or supported by a table or chair. As it appears in pre-hispanic architecture, the snake descends to the ground as if sliding down a staircase.

Cool, sure. But it holds a total of 12 books. In a lot of space. This is for someone who doesn't actually need a bookshelf, obviously.

Visually it's cool, but what does it do to the space you put it in? It seems a bit intrusive. What goes underneath?

I would put a plant under it, and maybe put more things/books on top. I like it.

I would affix two 2" horizontal steel pipes on the side of cubbies 2 and 5 (if counting down from the top) and suspend the unit on the underside of an exposed staircase.

i would LOVE to have something like this. i'd use it as a kitty stairway & to display some of my tchotkes. i think it rocks. (and it's beautiful workmanship.) i couldn't find any pricing info on it, so i'm sure i couldn't afford it, but damn! ... i'd love to have that.

I think it's beautiful. Then again I have always loved mayan and aztec culture. This would be perfect in one of those quirky corners that apartments sometimes have.

It is however, inconvenient if you don't have one of those quirky corners. *shrug*
