I'd rather spend $15 for a nice basket that can hold lots more and be stashed under the end table...

That looks so cheap and it is totally not going to hold. You will have to center your magazine for it to not rock off the holder.

I like the design, but I would never use this or any magazine rack. If I buy magazines, I read them then either discard them (recycle or give away) or (if they are "keepers" -- craft or other specialty magazines with ongoing usefulness) I put them on my book shelves.

It's a nice looking piece... maybe that's what it should be called... "piece", that gives a whole lot of open ideas for it's use... or just as a decorative object... As a mag rag....that's another story... even the girl in the picture seems to have trouble keeping the mag in place.... enough said.

There is something interesting about this but its not a real magazine holder so much as a couple of bookends molded together.

HotforDesign, you're right. They were at Urban Outfitters- I actually ended up getting it for $10 about a month or so ago.

Just seems unnecessary to have a magazine rack at all, let alone an inefficient, unattractive one.

$46 to hold a couple magazines or newspapers???
I'd rather spend $15 for a nice basket that can hold lots more and be stashed under the end table...
