This would work best on a school bus or the space shuttle. Or maybe in a Hummer?

I love it. I don't know how it works, but I love it.

I can't imagine this being used much in all of its different versions. It's the kind of thing someone would end up just using the sink, and never using the bathtub attachment.

Like the idea; hate the design. Seems like there should be a more esthetically pleasing way to achieve the same result.

no friggin way!!
what's the percentage of accidents that happen in the bathroom? whatever it is, i think that number would go up with this design. lol

Nope.
Just having the tub so far off the ground would invite broken hips in the rapidly aging global population. And besides- who the heck would WANT to use a tub that teeny for anything but washing a toddler?

How in the world do you get into the tub? That looks scary. I can't imagine teetering around up there and trying not to break my neck. And I'm only 25!!

Not to mention how would you FIT in that tub? My 5'11" body and it's curves isn't going to work with this. (dblitz is a her).

I feel strangely uncomfortable just LOOKING at this.

Quite frankly it scares me a little.

i think it is more a mind game than something meant for actual use. i mean, if you have little room, why force a tub in when you can have a shower stall? or is it a tub? i have no real clue about the size, to be honest.
don't like the look of it much, either ...

It's an interesting idea, but I don't like the climb into the bathtub notion. Wet, wet feet, and a climb sounds like a recipe for a visit to the er.

This reminds me alot of Andrea Zittel's work; however, this is a bit more polished and modern in my opinion.

If they made the tub longer it would make more sense, that way when it flipped down it wouldn't be up on a table and would be "human" sized for adults. It would be easier to rig up a table-height "sink" that flips down in the middle maybe on the side or something. That would eliminate the awkwardness. Otherwise I think it's a neat idea, just not functional like this... unless you use it for grooming a dog maybe.

No way this would work in the U.S. We love our bathrooms as big as we can get them. But in places where they have 25-square-foot "apartments" in the park...this could easily be integrated.

I'd prefer a hosing off behind a shrub.

dear tiny bathroom,
i feel like you are a concept, and some people take things too seriously.. like.. duh you are too small to take a bath in. plus, "wheres the water heater? americans dont like cold water, so this wont be successful".. lolz.
anyway.. i like the way you fold up, and you look good in green.
STAY COOL!

It seams impossible to make any reasonable sort of judgment out of context like this. And the scale is hard to decipher; just how tiny is that tub? Put in an itty bitty apartment, or a very upscale travel trailer, it might be easier to see if the concept is in any way practical, or if it's more of an an odd bit of concept art.

antimatt: what's the point of a "concept" bathroom if the concept is completely illogical, impractical, and can't be applied to real life in any way without MAJOR modifications?

This is quite simply a bad concept.

I think as far as a combined sink/storage unit this wouldn't be bad. But, the tub is questionable at best. What's preventing leaking? How would you get into it? What is the structure made out of? Can it only support light weight, skinny people? This is America, no matter how much you love small living.
