This would be wonderfully whimsical in a child's playroom, assuming of course it's sturdy and the child isn't so young that you have to worry about it poking an eye out with all those pointy corners.
It would be wonderfully whimsicle in a child's playroom, perhaps as semi-divider to a little reading nook. This is assuming, of course, that it is very sturdy and your kid is old enough and calm enough that the sharp pointy corners aren't a safety risk.
Would be fun for a whimsical child's room, but not so much in the study.

I can see this in an quirky city apartment -- amongst other quirky/whimsical finds -- it'd work double duty as a piece of wall-decor as well as a secondary book-park. :)

I really love this! I bet my cat would get a kick out it, too, with all those nice little nooks in between the books.
It looks angry - Like it could snatch a book out of your hands...

Perfect for a children's room (again same with people above, as long as they are old enough to figure this out)...looks tacky elsewhere though.

i like it but it doesn't hold nearly enough given the size. in a small space i think you need almost extreme practicality to combine with the creative.

I don't mind the Dr. Seuss appeal to it, but what I don't like is that the unit is so massive compared to the amount of functional space it actually contains. And with only two shelves that sit flat (or at least appear to), you're pretty much limited to keeping books on the shelves.
But seriously, how DID she get up there???

This piece works from both sides, and would make a nice room divider too. I'd prefer it in "wood" ---such as a driftwood color, or something that mimics ebony.

I agree with it being perfect for a young person. A little whimsy may make reading more inviting for them.

The fact that she is reading up on the ceiling is more distracting than this wisdom tree book case

How did she get up there?
I was wondering exactly the same thing. I can only assume that the couch is very springy and she's very athletic.
The more pertinent question is how is she going to get down?

The ledge she's sitting on wraps around the wall to the left coming towards the camera-- I presume there's a way up either to the left of the camera or behind it.
