Made of Bog oak, a variety of 5000-year-old wood that has been preserved in a peat bog, and that only floats up after heavy rain. Talk about rare. In a world filled with prefabricated and affordable, part of me is extremely happy to know that people are designing rare pieces like this, even if the closest I'll ever get to it is seeing it in a magazine or website.

I like the streamlined design but again, nothing I haven't seen before -albeit without that lighted (?) box. Now the feature of "only floats with heavy rain"... sounds gimmicky and comes 20 yrs. too late for me; I lived for a couple of years in the flood plain part of town (unbeknowst to me - no wonder rent was ultra cheap!) and we had to evacuate in a moments notice. Have to admit that I saved my appliances not my furniture (which btw was just just-out-of-school-cheap laminated-hand-me-downs- no real loss there)

The 'box' is a stack of paper (I think).
The design is beautiful - made out of bog-oak or not! Simple, clean, and SMALL!
