Greetings from Portugal! I've been here since Tuesday attending a press event (details coming this week here and at Unplggd), spending a couple additional days in Central Portugal for always welcome personal leisure. This certainly isn't the norm in our lives, but getting away to Europe for only the second time in our lives, we'd be lying if we said we haven't cherished every dear second here on the other side of the pond.
We're writing this a few hours before making our return flight back to Los Angeles, so pardon the scant details: exploring the architectural details of a city which just emanates with historical beauty; stuffing ourselves silly with delicious confectioneries from Casa Pastéis de Belém's (puff pastry egg custards are our new favourite), all the while previewing a slew of technology lifestyle products with a panel of home, design and technology bloggers from around the world. How could I turn down an opportunity like that?

I love Portugal, but I so don't love the first-person plural. Did the entire AT staff attend this junket en masse?

And he switches back and forth, which is weird!
I've never been to Portugal and am looking forward to the posts about what you've seen.

I love Portugal.... and pasteis de belem, and pasteis de nata, and pasteis de tentugal, and pasteis de bacalhau...

Writing at 2:45am in Portugal does horrible effects on remembering which editorial voice to use. I meant to use the "I" throughout, since this was a personal experience, but slipped back into the "we" thanks to the effects of exhaustion. Both "we" and "I" were very tired :)

Bom dia !
I just returned from a month in Portugal. Sounds like you love it as much as I do!
Have you make it down to Sagres? If the beauty of the coastline is what you are into, you'd love it. There are stunning cliffs with fisherman perched precariously on the edges, people surfing on sandy beaches, pounding waves - it was definitely my favourite spot.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh portugal! The lisbon lounge hostel, if anyone is ever passing through, has a GREAT modern design aesthetic somehow still true to the spirit of the neighborhood and photos of it would be right at home here on AT if anyone were to have some! The staff is also super nice, if we're talking service. :)
