You know, I had just come from IKEA's site, where I was discovering their expedit system. I was planning on flipping an eight-unit shelf on it's side to possibly use as a kitchen island.
So that clears that up now - I will send my husband here when he starts to grumble about me buying things.

StacyLC212, I got 2 8-cube Expedits, put then on their sides end to end, added the drawers and doors, and have a nice console for my craft supplies in the dining room where all that stuff stored in other ways would look terribly cluttered. I like the height, fits right under the windows in an attractive way. Go for it!
