apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

House Call: Palm Springs Alexander
Los Angeles

Name: Palm Springs Alexander
Location: Palm Springs, CA
Size: 1302 sq ft.

Maybe it's the noticeably colder weather that's fallen onto Los Angeles like a big, damp rock, but we're daydreaming about escaping out to the desert again, perhaps out to Palm Springs, where we could enjoy the great outdoors and some great Midcentury indoor gems like this redone vacation home we noticed was listed for sale. They call it a vacation home, but we're ready to move in (if only to remove that Evita poster; we like the Mona Lisa triptych though). Check out the House Call tour below...

Aaaaah, that looks so inviting. I wish I was looking at that through my window instead of the cold and dark winter of the Northeast.

Nice, but for the generic high-end kitchen/bathrooms-p-seems like they could be anywhere.

Lovely house - Too bad they have such poor taste in furniture, bathrooms and lighting...

first off, the ceiling fans and the lighting in the kitchen have GOT to go, secondly, the remodeling of the kitchen and bathrooms are, to put it mildly nothing original even if very nice.

if it were me, I'd do a sensitive remodeling of the space, updating while retaining it's original features as much as possible.

And much of the furnishings are meh IMO.

ack. I'd upgrade those track lights in the kitchen in a heartbeat.

and nothing seems to go together... except the sky and the pool water?
