Fans of this season's Top Design might already be following Eddie Ross's decorating antics over on his blog. But for those of you who might have missed it, he recently spent Thanksgiving out here in LA with good friend and castmate Andrea Schroder. She and Eddie were kind enough to share pictures of her amazing guest house plus her go-to shop for antiques (right here on the west side):

We were big fans of both Andrea and Eddie so it's fun to see that they've kept up a friendship and that they're willing to share their design secrets with us.
Andrea's gorgeous Topanga Canyon home features this light-filled guest house that she's decked out with a simple white palette, natural sisal carpets and fresh flowers. We love how classic the guest house is without feeling fussy or overly ornate. See all of the pictures of her place on Eddie Ross's blog.

And her go-to antiques store? Wertz Brothers Antique Market on Lincoln in Santa Monica. We normally hit up their cheaper warehouse store that's deeper into Santa Monica near Santa Monica Blvd and Barrington. After the pictures that they posted though we're itching to check out the higher end antiques market that has, hopefully, some good prices.
All images from Eddie Ross.
Her place looks like a Martha Stewart set design -
- Did Eddie redo it for her?

No offense Andrea, but I didn't like her or Eddie's designs . . .ho hum

how much more sterile-looking can a place possibly get? yikes.

Much too boring and country and I think that shelf of vases/pitchers in the kitchen looks very fussy. Why would her guests need a dozen porcelain pitchers?
And, I spy . . . two Ikea glass jars on the kitchen counter. I have the same jars. Except I actually use mine, rather than just leaving empty jars around to take up space.
I like her boots though!

I was really disappointed by the contestants on this last season of TD. They all fundamentally had the same "pretty pretty" aesthetic point of view. It's a shame this show has fallen flat again. I really wanted it to be good. Does anyone know if they will ever try again? I'd love to get on that show and stir things up a bit.

I think it's cute. It's definitely better than my real house.

Anyone see Eddie's apartment in Domino? Hid-ee-ous.

I can't say i love either of their styles...but i give them both credit for putting themselves out there. Most people don't have the guts to be judged by the public...even though they did not always succeed in executing their visions to everyone's liking on the show...at least they took the risk.

Beautiful guest home. Sure it may not be cutting edge but it has a lot of timeless design components that transcend the trends and surely correlate to the home's architecture.

I like it! The open shelving is great, esp. for a guest house. The guest can see everything instead of looking through all the cabs to find things.

These two have a nice style sense, but there's not much originality to either one of them. Im with Redbeard, the show was a total disappointment this season. If it returns I hope it gets an infusion of real designers in place of the "personalities" it seems to focus on - primarily sassy gay guys and timid straight women.

They both think they have much better design taste than they do. Not to mention Eddie is extremely annoying on camera and in person.

i agree, please stop lauding these design morons.
fresh flowers do not make a couple of tarts visionary.
this is a terrible post and makes me embarrassed to recommend apartment therapy in the future.
theres a ton of true talent in LA not pandering to reality television, please AT, go out and find it!!!!

^ I have to say I agree!

Andrea is Eddie's "good friend?" On the show he treated her with total disdain. Maybe that was before he found out she is Ricky Schroder's wife.

Amen - no more of these two please. Give me interesting and more chic, less domino.

Wow. What a bunch of negative nellies. I just appreciate 2 people who try to make the world a more beautiful place, whether or not they share my taste. Get some lives, people.
