Garden Inspiration: Ikea Molger Hack

1molger.jpgLooking for outdoor planters and furniture that is stylish, simple and affordable can prove to be quite a challenge so we're always looking for smart ways to use what we've already got at hand. Long fans of the Ikea Molger Line (mainly for the bathroom, but we've used the bench in the entryway, as a plant stand and as a shelf) we love what someone was able to do with the Molger shelves:

4molger.jpgThe directions for this ingenious hack are in spanish but we used google to translate the page, plus the pictures are pretty helpful. See this post on x4duros for pictures and directions. We love the Molger planter as an addition to a deck. It's low profile, strong wood and a classic look for a garden. And, if we're not mistaken, a lot of Molger items have been on sale recently (we got the rack at 50% off about a month ago).

Awesome! Best post I've read here in ages. This is a great idea, looks cool, not too expensive. You could probably even find a way to hinge a top on it, too.
