If you're anything like us, reupholstering is something we'll usually leave to the professionals. But yesterday, we landed on a website called Queen of DIY where Sarah actually makes this crafty DIY look doable. Instructions and the big reveal after the jump!

The tools you'll need for this how-to;
A Computer Chair (that needs saving)
Material (about 3 yards)
Heavy Duty Stapler
Screwdriver
Scissors
Thread
Spray Paint (optional)
Buttons
You'll first want to unscrew the base from the seat of the chair, followed by the arms.

Then dismantle the seat from the back of the chair.
Laying the seat upside down on top of your fabric, take a corner of the fabric and staple it to the seat. Working your way around the chair, pull the fabric taught until the entire seat is covered. You'll also want to follow the same instructions for each arm of the chair. Reupholstering the back of the office chair is a teeny bit more involved but Sarah has step by step instructions here.
Sarah used spray paint on the base to give the office chair a fresh look before putting back together.

Drat!!! I wish I'd seen this before I sold my comfy-but-ugly office chairs on craigslist! I STILL haven't been able to find a suitable replacement!

wow, not only is this an awesome idea, but the instructions are made easier thanks to the fact that this is the very chair my mom brought home from work and I think needs recovered.
