Clean out those glass vases you've collected over the years, save some of the bottles from the wine you're drinking, repurpose that bowl you found at the flea market and make a lamp! A Round Up of Lamps You Can DIY This Weekend
- Have an old lamp you've grown tired of? Before you toss it, consider transforming it into cork lamp. Best on a straight sided based.
- Empty bottles are a classic base for making a lamp. Commemorate a great evening by using the bottle to make a bottle lamp.
- After emptying an egg carton of its contents for use in Sunday brunch or in starting to bake your holiday cookies, use it to make this lamp.
- Instead of tossing that collection of chopsticks that you've shoved in a drawer, use them to make this shoji lamp.
- Use old camera equipment, that you've either inherited or picked up at a flea market, to make this floor lamp.
- If you buy milk in those giant plastic jugs, you've got the basis for this lamp
- If you've got strings of fairy lights for the holidays, consider this idea to make them into strings of flowers.
- Cheap items from the dollar store, including plastic servingware, plastic gift boxes and rubber balls can be transformed into lights. See here for details.
