I've been sorting through the hundreds of photos taken during my first sojourn into the cavernous Javits Convention Center (heading back today for one last round before returning to LA) and I can't but help make this my first post from 2008 International Contemporary Furniture Fair for the sheer fun of it: the School of Visual Arts's MFA Designer As Author 2008 Chair Project...
It's hard to ignore a 20+ ft tall chair, but the most memorable and personal favourite amongst the showroom full of altered state seating shown at the 2008 Chair Project booth was this slightly perverted upskirt "Kleptomaniac" chair by Theresa Rollison shown below:

Other first day ICFF impressions from the ATLA team:
ICFF Day One: FROSINE Glasses by Michelle Ivankovic for UMBRA
ICFF Day One: MissPrint
ICFF Day One: Eggcrate Dancer Lamp from Recolector Diseno
Whoo! SVA! My alma mater!

The 'klepto' was definitely one of the smarter ones. A lot of them seemed a bit too simplistic.

How's that a 'klepto'? More like a 'perv' peeping tom.
