Recently, a friend of ours was telling us about this new restaurant called Street. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, it's concept is simple yet complex. Inspired by street vendor food around the world Susan brings that flavor and flair into a restaurant setting. Street's decor relies on clean lines and a handful of color palettes...

The space was designed by Neil M. Denari Architects with help from graffiti inspired street murals by Huntley Muir. The slated walls of wood paneling call to mind roads and streets (without feeling theme-like in their appearance). We love how Mr. Denari keeps the feeling warm with a nod to minimalism in the overall design. Using dark wood and pops of deep orange help lend a welcoming vibe. The enchanting graffiti murals add a bit of playfulness to the space--a reference to graffiti art one would find in any corner of the world.

The food here is AMAZING. And the dining room light is so warm and the place just feels sleek yet cozy.

But as in all Feniger's places, you end up shouting. It's worse than Bistro Louie. Still, it's much better looking that the short-lived place in Pasadena, which was ugly. I think the food is uneven, but it's great place to go for a drink and some snacks.

I've never been there, and I probably never will be there. However, I protest against the clumsily drawn figures in the overhead spaces; they're weak. Not bad; weak.
If an artist undertakes to draw a human figure, he should be at least conscious, not asleep or strung out on drugs.
But, since we're talking about LA, the case is hopeless. Mexico can have it, and will, in a generation or two.

It looks cold and and seems it would be very noisy.

I went there a few weeks ago for a friend’s birthday. The waiters were cute but the food not so much! I was just too strange and foreign for my taste buds. I loved the atmosphere outside. Great job on the creation of the place!
