We always think it's interesting when a bunch of our fellow bloggers post similar ideas at the same time. We're clearly having a "bunch" moment, from Sarahrae's post over at ATChicago on an intriguing window display to Rebecca's lighting post right here on ATLA. This grouping of lanterns from a shop in North Africa caught our own eye for a number of reasons...
Although clearly meant for display and sale, with hopes to be quickly depleted, we could easily imagine using a similar arrangement in our own home. While the current impetus may be towards spare and sparse, sometimes a crowd of objects can be compelling, an unusual contrast to a stark modern interior. If you have a large collection, rather than spreading them out, collect them together, crowd them even, and allow their mass to be the conversation piece.

I am desperate for a couple of lanterns like this. If anyone has any online sources, or knows a great place to buy them (affordably) in the NYC area, please share!
