A Simple Stay at Su Casa in Venice

052808_sucasa3.jpgYes, there are a lot of very fancy hotels in this town. Some that we would love the opportunity to stay in. But there's something so lovely about these simple rooms above the boardwalk in Venice that pushes them to the top of our list (maybe for out of town guests too):

Sometimes I fantasize about taking a vacation at home and this is what it would look like. Clutter-free, lots of white and light and the warmth of the hard wood underfoot. Chances are I'll never end up staying here, unless I have out of town guests book a reservation but I can still bring some of this into my home (and since I don't live far, I can still imagine I'm on vacation).

Looks like the rooms are straight out of a west elm catalog.

Pretty, though. I definitely spend the extra money to stay at nicer hotels.

I agree - I can identify which store (IKEA, Crate & Barrel, West Elm) where 9/10 of the furnishings come from.
