To us, her chairs and lamp were fine as a "before" but we love the transformation the furniture pieces received. Becca's approach is fun, using bold color choices that pop from their surroundings. Mixing green and red isn't easy but Becca manages to pull off the challenge. Of the lot, our favorite is a vintage table lamp brought up to date with a painted base and IKEA lamp shade. You can find more of Becca's inspiring creations on her Etsy site here.

I like the color and fabric on that blue chair, but that lamp does not look good. If she wanted to paint something glossy white, a wooden spindle lamp would've been a better choice, especially with that lampshade.

i love the chairs, but i think i woulda left the jewely thing on the lamp in it's original shape. But that's because i love gaudy shineys.

Love the blue chair.
I liked the giant topaz stone on the lamp base... personally, I would have painted around it and found a shade to compliment it that way.

These all look wonderful. But I especially love the blue chair! I love it. I want to steal it.

Poor chair, poor lamp. I do like the lamp shade, though.

Hey, fun with recycling! Not all my taste, but it's all good -- saving something probably nobody wanted before... I keep having to fight the urge to rescue stuff I can't use myself.

I agree with you on the lamp, teeze: painting was a good idea, but painting over the "topaz" wasn't. The textures seem too different. Maybe if she'd painted it a different colour?
As for the wooden chair, for some reason I'm reminded of The Simpsons episode in which Anastasia, a formerly dignified wild tiger, is forced to ride a unicycle while wearing a propellor beanie.
