Sometimes the top of our mid century credenza, naked of any arrangements, stares back at us, mocking our inability to choose a direction. So we started looking for inspiration to help narrow things down. We love the minimal look of the display above from the Zaitz House in Palm Springs. But never happy to settle on the first thing we find, we've rounded up our favorite and best credenza top displays after the jump.
Our favorite about most of these is that we'd be able to assemble them with what we already have in the house (ok, maybe not some of the paintings, but you get the idea) just being selective about what and how we put it all together.

Trina Turk's mid century set up with cloisonné jars and lamp from Lawson-Fenning.

Art Deco Style> with Lempicka Paintings and an old fashioned telephone.

Not quite a credenza but we love the idea of displaying collections, especially of different sized globes (or vases, or lamps, etc).

From Shauna's More Dash than Cash we're reminded that a bar is always useful ( maybe not in the bedroom, but...)

Giant white log, giant candles and a painting. We're into it.

Kim has 5 Cats gets 2 pictures because we were so into how different displays can be. We love that she painted a stripe of teal to 'anchor the white credenza and the series of white vases on it. We also love that she showed off her great camera collection in front of some pretty wicked paintings without it all looking disorganized.

Courtesy of Victoria we fell in love with this streamlined approach, but the vintage mirror makes it all so welcoming and home-y.

And finally, how we could forget our very own Jonathan and his original Fall Colors Contest Entry. Pops of white, check. Foo dogs, check. Mid Century lamp, check. Great looking book collection, check. Consider us inspired.
What makes this (top "Peoplemover" picture) a credenza?

I have a similar print for the Matterhorn (only it's smaller and came matted). I bought it at the huge Disney store in Downtown Disney in Anaheim about two years ago. I originally wanted a large version like what's shown here (and like what they had posted on some wall near the front gate of Disneyland), but I never did find them for sale in or around the park.
You might try ebay- looks like there's at least two People Mover prints listed there, but I can't see the listings because ebay is blocked at work...

Oh, and I just found this site:
http://www.mouseshoppe.com/directory.cfm?CategoryID=371
Which sells the smaller matted versions, like what I have. But I don't see People Mover on the list.

I actually use a credenza as a dresser so anything that would work on one will work on the other. Know what I mean?

Okay, I swear this is my last comment-
That Mouse Shoppe link I posted above does have the People Mover print. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's a "print on demand" option, so if you click on that, it gives you a list of prints to choose from and People Mover IS on that list. I guess you just can't buy it in the miniature, matted version.

Will someone PLEASE tell me where the white credenza in the "Courtesy of Victoria" photo is from. I have asked in posts before but never received a response. Thanks.

orangejuice - It's the Torsby sideboard from IKEA.
Also, I really need to start hunting for a vintage sideboard/credenza/whatever!

My grandma has the bedroom set that goes with the dresser in the Trina Turk photo. The highboy is really beautiful.
