Remember about a month ago when we spent an afternoon together obsessing about how great orange can be? Well now we're getting into the Fall, into October and all we want is more and more orange. Lucky us, the reader responsible for this amazing outdoor lounge also took the plunge and went orange inside:
Reader, cate is my name went with two shades of orange in her home office and we think the results are fantastic. Ignore the stuff that she hasn't put away yet and look at how great that grey armchair looks against the orange. the crisp white windows are fabulous too. Although if you were really gonna take it there you might consider a printed drape; something fun and loud like the orange. A little like the way this rug works off the orange sofa. We might mix more greys into the scheme, maybe a bright green or a bit of yellow...
Is anyone any more or less convinced of orange now?
Hey! That's my house! And yes, the room REALLY isn't finished - this photo was just to show the paint colors. The room gets filled with sunlight in the morning - I'll have to get up early with my camera one of these days...

looks great! wish i had seen this sooner & just skipped the grey in my grey & bright green living room. i like how the frames & chair really stand out against the walls, and the contrast is nice with the green trees outside.

I'm painting a wall in my kitchen and I need the name of the bright orange. It's the perfect color!

They're both Home Depot Behr colors - "Melon" is the lighter orange and the darker one (the wall with the artwork) is called "Crushed Orange". They look a bit different in real life so be sure to check the paint chips!

Thanks chaight ~ I've got the chips and you're right they are different. Kumquat is closer to what I want but you sure pointed me in the right direction.
