Continued Trend...Aviary

080108_aviary01.jpgWhile the aviary trend may seem so last year (or even the year before?), it’s still quite popular with designers and consumers alike. Featured these days in everything from fabrics to mirrors to wallpaper and stationary, bird motifs are (yes) still wildly popular and can add style, color and whimsy to a space.

With the range of color and graphic interpretations, you are sure to find a design that works best for you! Take flight and fancy in every detail of your home and have fun with it! Check out some new and continued aviary ideas below.

Enough with the birds (although they are charming), where is that boss Steve McQueen art available?

Sorry, I'm a little freaked out by birds in real life, and I'm SO OVER the bird motif. DONE, I tell you!

lI love birds, can't imagine I'll ever be over them; just like Frida is waay overexposed but I'm a fan for life--but I thought that was Bogey with the suspenders. Very cool.

i think the default photoshop posterize filter wall art is much more "dead trend" than birds.

I love birds too, but just the images... The real ones freak me out a little.

I must be in the minority because I think birds are funny.

yes birds may seem a bit tired to those in the "know", but they are still not quite at the saturation point with a majority of consumers, so they continue to sell. They are the easiest to digest of all of the animal motifs, so they are a perennial favorite, just like flowers. That is why designers continue to use them. Plus, there are so many different species and types of birds-you could milk the trend for years
before it is exhausted. Plus, who doesn't love a cute little bird?
