I'm ready for some hot fun in the sun. September should be the perfect time to spend in the red rocks of Moab, Utah. I'm going with my favorite cousin and his girlfriend (who's from Moab) and we've rented a house for a long weekend of hiking, river rafting and lounging.
I mentioned that we'll be driving the 10 hours there. If it gets tedious then we'll stay the night in Vegas. Once in Moab (Utah's leading Green city) we'll be checking out Arches National Park and rafting down the Colorado River.
Mainly I'm hoping to pick up some inspiration from all the colors of the landscape and spend some time catching up on the latest Blueprint. If there are some junk shops (or better!) I'm happy to check them out too. Basically a whole lot of nothing time.
How about all of you? Have you taken the time to just do nothing this summer? I always find it helpful for coming back to my work refreshed.

Welcome to my neck of the woods!
Well, kind of. I'm not actually in Moab :0) But It's lovely here in Provo too. Can't wait for the Fall colours to begin!!
We aren't doing nothing this summer, exactly, but we are taking advantage of the outdoors!

Moab is awesometown.
Also, your cousin sounds like a guy with excellent taste. I suspect he is also dashingly handsome, and witty.
Also, modest.
Did your cousin's lovely girlfriend also mention visiting Monument Valley while we're you're there? It's only a couple hours' drive away, and since we're they're renting a minivan, we can all make the drive together in one car.
A side note: while out in Moab, one simply must visit Ye Olde Geezer's Meat Shoppe. Arguably some of the best beef I've ever had. And their jerky is to die for.

Okay I just looked here again and "nothing" should be in quotations so I don't sound so moronic.

The Arches is the best and there's some great microbrew to be had in Moab. I love that place!
