Fancy Ephemera Pack from Fancy Tiger

When I first moved to LA, I took an illustration class with Clayton Brothers at Art Center, and I'd say it ranks in my top 5 Great Art Class Experiences that I've had (and I've had my share, especially if you count junior high and summer camps). One of the guiding principles to enjoying the Clayton Brothers' class is to be fearless when it comes to creating art, using anything and everything that you can get your hands on. Which is why, when I saw these Fancy Ephemera Packs from Fancy Tiger, I was ready to order six of 'em and start fearlessly wielding the glue and water-insoluble india ink pens.

These Fancy Ephemera Packs will jumpstart that little voice in your head that croons, "Let's blow off this Tuesday afternoon, hit up the art store, and just get crafty!" How? With twenty pieces of vintage paper materials (maps, wallpapers, photos, childen's books, Chinese and French text pages...), it will gently nudge you in the direction of creating a lovely series of cut paper pieces for your bathroom. Or perhaps thank-you notes. Or worst case scenario: it will sit in your crafty drawer and taunt you every time you open that drawer to get a pen.

Wow! I envy you for having the opportunity to take an art class with the Clayton Bros. I would jump at the opportunity. They are probably in my top 10 list of favorite artist.
