We simply love this month's spread in Elle Decor featuring artist Anne Becker's gorgeous home designed completely in a global style. Inspired by exotic trips to Japan, Morocco, France and other exotic locales, Anne created a peaceful home full of cherished worldly goods and an open footprint. We also admire how Anne has used natural light in her space to highlight her design + decor.

While we enjoy all styles - the classic appeal of traditional pieces, clean lines of modern decor and the texture and style of vintage gems - we can't help but wonder how it would feel to create an entire home dedicated to a colorful and calm global style?
How do you feel about the global style interpreted in soft colors, eclectic decor and natural textures?

have we met? i fricking love it! this spread is awesome. the windowed bathroom is a fabulous idea! how many of us walk into our bathrooms and lament it gets no light? and that low-hanging disco ball? i think that could rock my bay window!
color me envious. the aesthetic is very like what i want. it must be a reflection of my internal life that i haven't achieved it yet.

I like this home a lot. It's refreshing to see something other than the usual modernist aesthetic, that embraces color and pattern but that still tends toward the simple. I have to say, though, that it doesn't strike me as all that spare. And she must be doing pretty well to have a decorator and some of the fixtures she's got.

I love that purple couch! Although, it seems to have no back to speak of, so not too comfy. But if it had a tall cushy back, I'd be all over that! And that purple polka dot pillow is so pretty.
