House Tour Update: Sara Lov's Los Feliz Charmer Gets A Bamboo Bar

We first met Sara when we took pics for her house tour (if you missed it, check it out here). We quickly discovered that Sara had a talent for home projects. We were most impressed with her front yard--formerly overgrown shrubs that read blah, Sara transformed it into a cozy spot to relax after a long day. But after living in her Los Feliz charmer for almost two years, Sara realized she wanted something more for the outdoors area. With a great design idea in mind, she set out to make her project come to life. And Apartment Therapy readers, Sara hasn't come up with a name for her new bar so let's help her out in the comments!

Sara says it's funny, she's not much of a drinker but she wanted to expand her outdoor area with shade and seating--which she made happen with a bar. Made of lumber and supplies from Home Depot and the bar's top purchased at Anderson Plywood, Sara and her friend, Jamie Fraser got to work. While Sara came up with the design of the bar, she was Jamie's assistant for the hard stuff. Of course, friends were called on to raise the roof (so to speak). New pavers underfoot mixed with the organic texture of the bamboo makes the outdoor space much bigger than before. We also love the added touch of the foot rest (made out of plumber's pipe). And if that weren't enough, Sara is also a local musician (we're huge fans). You can check out a new song of hers here for free while brainstorming a name for her new outdoor bar.
