We have our own version of the idea pictured above--a simple shell decorated with a plant inside. We love the beach vibe ours gives off (hanging in the window over the kitchen sink). With summer days just around the corner, we've got more ways to bring shells into your home after the jump.

Another easy way to bring shells into the home is by simply plopping a few down into a succulent garden (complete with beach sand on the very top).

A bead curtain made of shells brings a summertime feeling to the patio.

A large conch shell in the bathroom serves as jewelry storage.

Corral a bunch of found shells in a dish and place in the bathroom for all to enjoy.

Or simply gather your shell collection and store in a decorative glass jar.

Another idea: using larger shells as dishes to hold sand and a tea candle. I've done that with some success in my (sadly nonfunctioning) fireplace. Sand, pebbles, shells (of different sizes), and a mixture of candle heights have created a nice alternative to the traditional fireplace/candle scene.
