While we know Gregory's significant other may scream, we love pages from old books that have been framed. Which is why we were smitten when we saw what Shanna Murray had done in her bedroom...

We'll definitely add it to our list of alternative wall treatments.
I've thought about doing this a lot, but I can never bring myself to destroy a book.

I don't really like the way this looks, I didn't like it last week, and I didn't like it a long time ago when I saw it on Trading Spaces. This was after I saw Lynette Jennings faux leather paper bag treatments. Everything new is still just old.

I remember a photo in Met Home years ago of a bathroom papered in plates from a reprint of a classic natural history book. Looked great, but I believe the book used was no longer in print, which kind of horrified me.

You can always make copies.
I volunteered at a library's fundraising bookstore and the sad truth was, there were books we just couldn't sell. We gave away loads to other organizations, but we had to chuck stripped books (without their covers) because it's illegal to sell them. And IMHO all Reader's Digest condensed books ought to be ripped up anyway. (No, I don't... people do buy those.) So there are sources, if you know where to look.
Incidentally, I love that plaque, too.
