Inspiration: Downtown and Outside Downtown

We were flipping through our most recent issue of Elle Decor when we spotted quite the inspirational store, Outside Downtown, right here in Los Angeles. While it's not downtown (West Hollywood to be exact) we located the online store which inspired us further. Let's take a look at how the sharp duo, David Serrano and Robert Willson mix colors after the jump.

While we can't afford much at either design house, Downtown or Outside Downtown, we are pretty excited about these pictures. We know how difficult it is to make a room work, especially when using bold colors (just ask us how many times we've painted the bathroom). So when David and Robert lead the way with interesting decorating ideas plus great color combos we pay attention. Each room makes us want to start all over in our apartment (which is a bit of a drag) but we'll hang onto an idea or two--especially that Elvis wall.
