Inspiration: Easy Ways to Glamourize Your Bathroom

Yesterday, Laure blogged some subtle stripes she was loving. We saw some equally subtle stripes at the Benefit Bar, the setting for the Designer's Call event, which read very Hollywood Glam to us. If you're looking to give your bathroom a touch of 30s flair, here are some other ideas we saw there that could easily translate to your home...

Try a floral wallpaper if you're not a fan of stripes...

A colourful display of advertisements -- collect magazine tear sheets, postcards, the labels from cool products, even wine bottles -- --and frame them to hang in your bathroom...

Paint the insides of your cupboards or medicine chest a frivolous pale pink and add a freehand fanciful swirl. If you're not a fan of pink, consider another pale hue, like blue (but keep your distance from yellow or green which can reflect on your skin).

A framed mirror is a bit of jewelry for your space. Finally, for a finishing touch, add a table lamp and swap out your knobs for crystal ones.

I love doing cabinets or closets in a different fun color. I did a great room for a young girl with pale pink walls and a bright orange closet....she loved it! Her brother got 'baseball mit leather' colored walls and a denim closet.

Remember table lamps can be knocked over into the bath or sink....make sure anything electric is plugged into a properly grounded outlet in the bathroom!
