Inspiration: Fairview Branch Library
Mid-Century Modern in Santa Monica

101708mid-01.jpgWe had about thirty minutes to kill while waiting for our friend the other day in Santa Monica and decided to pop inside the Fairview Branch Library on Oceanfront. We ended up going to the restroom while inside the library and were inspired by these really cool tiles...

101708mid-03.jpgWe snapped up a few pics of the starburst mid-century modern tiles before any library patron could question us. We were surprised and excited that these vintage tiles were still intact. They reminded us of slightly of these bathroom tiles from Christine and Eric's Spacious Pad. Both tiles hail from the same era and echo the starburst look we love. Even the signage on the front of the library is in line with the mid-century modern look.
If you enjoy the starburst design, take a look at these ideas to incorporate the mid-century modern vibe in your space.

These cool tiles are in the bathroom at my local library, three blocks away! There's a lesson here. Look around right where you are for cool things, not where you wish you were!
