We noticed a lot of art hung salon style while we were in NY for IFCC. Art hung this way can look chaotic so it's important to find a method in the madness. Maxwell’s recent email diagrammed one way of controlling the elements – an arrangement which begins from a center frame and works outward on parallel sloping diagonals. A salon arrangement can also find its order through manipulating one or more of its other elements: framing, art or wall colour.
