Inspiration: The Milo Shoe Gallery Shoes Display and Storage

012009miloshoes01.jpgNext time we head down south to San Diego we're going to make sure to swing on by over to The Milo Shoe Gallery to see their amazing retail space which stylishly incorporates their wares into the decor of their retail space thanks to a wall mounted display system. As cool as their plywood cashier desk area is, it's the on-the-wall shoe display that has us wondering if we can do something similar up our entry stairway to more efficiently store our footwear in a small space. Though, if we did display our shoes in such manner, we'd have to spend a good time making sure they were clean, which is a good and bad thing (more work, but better looking footwear). A few more shots of the Milo Shoe Gallery below...

Don't do it.
No matter how clean your shoes are, they will still be worn. That's the "ew" factor, not the scuff marks.
I wouldn't be surprised if the shoes in that store were not removable for try-ons.
The space is super-cool tho.

mm pleasant used shoe odor close to face level when you come home from work- please no!

cool concept for new shoes though.

My shoes actually don't smell all too much, so used shoe odour isn't an issue. But even so, I wonder if the vertical positioning would allow for better "airing out".
