There are some great neighborhoods in Los Angeles where walkability is easy and popular. (yep, it's true!) Strolling down popular streets with creative shops and boutiques can provide tons of inspiration for your own space even by way of window displays. One street to check out is...
...the La Cienega Design Quarter. Right on La Cienega between Beverly Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd., the LCDQ is full of incredible design shops, furniture boutiques and galleries - all with great window displays! With over 40 design storefronts to visit, the inspiration is endless.
And if you happen to be near the area this weekend, check out the the Legends of La Cienega: A Celebration of Interior Design with LCDQ and ELLE DECOR. (Proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles). Click here or here for more info.

It is a very inspiring design district, even though my favorite, Blackman Cruz, has moved east. Overpriced, but that is to be expected.

Those are stunning displays.

Even though I can't afford some of the stores the window displays are in, I love to take pictures and see if there are some ideas that I can alter to enhance my home. Some of the display designers are so inspiring!

Blackman Cruz moved because the rent on the La Cienega space tripled when the lease was up. Rediculous rents for retail spaces up and down the street seem to be driving most tenants out.

That's capitalism for ya, another decade and the same thing will be happening on Highland Avenue. And the world keeps on turning.
