Look! Bling Out Your Outdoor Furniture

070208_bling.jpgDon't have a lot of cash for outdoor furniture this summer? No problem, you can still show off with this idea we saw at ICFF. All you need is a standard chair and a can of gold spraypaint:

We weren't sure at the time if this chair in the Refined Sugar Studio booth was a product or just part of the booth's ambiance, but we liked it. It was just ridiculous enough to make us smile and consider replicating the idea. We love the pairing of high and low and think these would make a spectacular addition to any deck, balcony or backyard, as long as you have a sense of humor. So who's with us?

Yuck! I hate gold on pretty much everything. So tacky.

Short ones (more than this color):

How about this one?

And if you can find just a frame, you can use seat belt webbing, as shown here (scroll down):

I'd have some fun with it, and use the frame, while hitting thrift stores and trying to make the webbing from belts (for the seat) and ties (for the back). They always have lots of belts and ties at the thrift stores.

I think its funky and cool. If you can't get the straps off you could always bedazzle it! LOL

Fun! It looks good with the all-white webbing, but I'm not sure it would work with other colors.

Rememeber Jem and the Holograms? It looks like something Jem would own. Gosh, I'm showing my age! Circa: late 80's I when I was a single digit kid.
