Look! Inspiration from Aux Delices Bakery

092107_auxdelices.jpgEver since we got the latest Room & Board catalog and read the article about how someone used Magnolia's cupcakes as home decor inspiration, we decided to find our own bakery to draw inspiration from. When we tripped into Aux Delices Bakery in Pasadena, we were mesmerized. Not only by the cakes and profiteroles, but the decor: crystal chandeliers dangling from the high intricately moulded ceiling, black trim, and that irresistable Tiffany's blue paint.

This place is small, but packed with inspiration from the small-tiled black-and-white floor to the framed fleur de lys wallpaper. If you're in the Old Town Pasadena area, pop in for some coffee and a pastry (they make it all there!) and enjoy the decor.

Yes, this place is lovely, and they make very good pastries and sandwiches too!

Oo! Do they have macarons? If so, I'm there.
