No Frame Required: Photo Display Ideas

102909picture-01.jpgWe love displaying candid photos in our home because they add a unique personal touch to the space. Additionally, photos bring instant charm and coziness to any room, particularly when they don't require a frame...

102909picture-02.jpgMalin tells us that she only took the photo on the first page (but it's still a great idea nonetheless). Great for covering up an unfortunate view while still allowing light to flood the space. In the bathroom, a framed photo feels too fussy but an inspiration wire held up by suction cups is clever and neat. Malin displays her beloved pooch and pills to be taken with water--how convenient.

Those are transparencies in the first picture. Maybe that's obvious from looking at it but the written description only calls them photos.

Do slides fade in sunlight?

Sydney - a pro photo lab (not Walgreen or Costco) may be able to shoot slide 'copies' of your prints and photographs. It generally runs a few dollars per slide created.

And yes, any artwork put in the sun will eventually fade - photographic especially. It's one thing to keep in mind when hanging art - I like to cycle prints for this reason.

I like the transparencies--can't you photocopy onto clear plastic?

But I'm sick to death of things pinned up with clothespins. Ugly.
